U9s/U13s Moderates tournaments

Parents and supporters enjoyed watching some very good badminton at The Sewell School sports hall on Saturday, with youngsters competing in the Under 9s and U13s moderates tournament. In these tournaments, those who have been selected to represent the county are excluded, thus giving some of the up-and-coming players a chance to get their hands on a trophy!

7 year old Harry Wakefield from Downham Market Juniors was hardly tested in taking the Under 9s singles and doubles trophies, partnered by 6 year old Adithya Velu. None of Harry’s opponents was able to reach double figures in any of the games, all of which were played to 21 points!
