The Under 11 County Championships took place on Saturday 21st March at Sewell Park Sports Centre having been postponed from December due to lack of entries.
Again the entry was very low with just 9 boys and 4 girls competing but all competitors played in good spirit and many of the games were of exceedingly high quality.
The boys singles was played in two groups with the top two in each group going through to the semi finals and the others going into a plate competition.
One semi final was particularly close with Robbie Hobson just emerging victorious over James Salter by 24 points to 22. The other was won by Sean Lott who overcame George Vickers by 21 points to 7.
The final again was a close fought affair eventually ending in victory for Lott, beating Hobson 21-19. The plate competition was won by Steve Hughes.
The boys doubles was played in one group which was won by Salter and Lott with Vickers and Hobson as runners up.
The girls singles was won by Lauren Mortimer who beat Kate Sawyer 21-7 in the deciding game and the girls doubles was won by Mortimer and Sawyer with Zoe Rahman-Desgland and Amy Hayhoe as runners up.
