The U13 county team took part in the County team challenge at Mildenhall. They had a tough start
against Essex and Hertfordshire being defeated in both. However there were some good scores in
the singles and girls doubles where we narrowly lost some close games.
U15 Regional Team Challenge
The county under 15 team travelled to Brandon Leisure Centre to play in the Regional Team Challenge against five other counties.

The Norfolk badminton teams have always found Notts a tough nut to crack and that experience continued at the week-end when the senior county second team lost to Notts third 5-10 in the Inter County Regional Championships, whilst the Under 17s suffered a close 9-11 defeat in the Shires League The senior team were 1-3 down after the opening singles games with Mike Philpott gaining Norfolk’s only win.

Norfolk’s Under 15 and 17 teams took on their Cambridgeshire counterparts in Shires League matches which saw the county debut of some of the Norfolk players.

Norfolk had their first taste of Premiership action at the weekend, when they came face to face with Surrey, Lancashire and Derbyshire in the first round of Premier B, played at the National Badminton Centre in Milton Keynes.

Moderates Tournament forms have now been released! To be held on Sunday 11th December, 2011 at Sewell Park College (Blyth Jex Sch), the tournament is open to everyone who hasn’t played more than one match for a senior county team this season. This is always a great day with plenty of games to be played! Closing date is 5th December, Good luck to eveyone who enters!
